New clubs wishing to join the League must be elected by the existing members of the League. At the discretion of a majority of the accredited voting members present, applications may be received at the Annual General Meeting or a Special General Meeting.
As the BCGFL is a Charter Standard League, all clubs wishing to join the League must have acheived the FA's Charter Standard or must acheive the standard within 12 months of joining the league. All clubs must also be affiliated to their relevant County FA.
Applications by Clubs for admission to the League must be accompanied by an entry fee of £45. Each new Club is also required to pay (within 14 days of election to the League) a Deposit of £50 per Club. (This is refundable to Clubs on leaving the League, providing the club has fulfilled their fixtures and complied with all orders of the Management Committee.)
Following election, each club must also pay an annual subscription for each team entered (see "Existing Clubs" below).
Clubs who are looking to start new Undr 7, Under 8 or Under 9 girls teams will not be required to become members of the League or register their players prior to participating in its Under 8/Under 9 Festivals. However, the club must still be affiliated to a County FA.
Note that all Member Clubs of the League will automatically become members of the Berkshire County Girls Football League charity unless they elect to opt out. (Club’s continued membership of the Charity of shall be subject to compliance to the constitution of the Charity.)
Existing Clubs will be required to complete annually the Entry Form (below) and to pay an annual subscription for each team as follows:
Teams playing Mini-Soccer/Seven-a-Side football (7v7) £40
Teams playing Nine-a-Side football (9v9) £45
Teams playing Eleven-a-Side football (11v11) £50
Note that no annual subscription is required for Under 7, Under 8 or Under 9 teams.
