- Refereeing is a great way to be involved in football
- There are opportunities for everyone
- Remain active in the game following injury or retirement
- Make new and lasting friends within the game
- Play a huge role in ensuring the players, and supporters, enjoy their match day experience
The BCGFL aims to provide opportunities for young referees, both male and female, to learn and develop in a positive environment.
Whether you wish to referee the U8’s or the U18’s, act as an assistant for the cup matches or as a mentor we are always looking for more referees to join our team of referees.
To find more about refereeing in our league please contact our Referees Secretary, Natasha Loughrey at berkshiregirlsrefallocation@gmail.com.
If you want to qualify as a football referee you will need to do the basic FA referee training course. The FA basic referee training course provides candidates with an understanding of the ‘Laws of the Game’ and provides them with the practical skills to be a match official.
